Reposting so it is on the current page and easy to access.
Ok everyone information on the Warhammer 40, 000 tournament is here!
Date: Wednesday 14th August Time: 19:00 start but get here a little earlier if possible.
Rules: 750 points. Normal force organisation except for no allies or fortifications, 1 HQ and 2 troops is mandatory. No flyers allowed, this includes flying monstrous creatures. You also may not bring any vehicles with an AV of 14 on any facing, or any special characters, this includes special characters who are upgrades to a squad and are not independent characters. Also no forge world please.
You will play 3 games in the evening with each game lasting no longer than an hour. 2 points will be awarded for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss.
There will be prizes for first, second and third place.
There will also be prizes awarded for the following categories: best sportsman, best painted army, best painted single miniature, most exciting battle and of course, the esteemed wooden spoon award (which for those of you who remember the Ultraspoon, this shall be a of a different chapter but this time there shall only be one!)
Cost: normal nightly fees.
Everything here may be subject to change before the night so keep checking this post. If you are interested in entering this tournament, please leave a comment below so I know how many people to plan for etc.
If you have any questions, seek me out or send me a message and I shall help you out.
Presumably, seeing as they suffer from the some of the same problems as FW stuff ( i.e most probably don't know the rules and therefore it's immediately broken :P), supplements are also out of bounds for this event?
The same number as James would have when he asked I imagine :P Trying to come up with a non competetive fun list but George is making things difficult with these 'rules' of his :P
People will play faster if they know they have a time limit. I said this before, the tournaments I did at Warhammer world were usually 1250-1500 points and we only had 1 hr 30 mins to play each game in. 1 hour shall be plenty.
Ok people the tournament is tonight I hope everyone has their forces ready! We shall be starting at 7:00 sharp so try and get there a bit earlier if possible. Information for the evening is on both the previous pages so have another read through if you need reminding of anything.
I wont be able to join in tonight, just been too busy with late shifts at work so had no time to prepare my army or list. Will pop down at some point to watch a few games
If you can get there for 7 you might as well join in, it is free. I haven't prepared a list yet either. Plus I've had a few people drop out already so kinda need to make sure that there are enough people to play.
