Star Wars X-Wing

I have been hearing some good things about the star wars x-wing starfighter combat game does antbody fancy going halves on a starter set.Cheapest I've seen it is £25.

Craig and I had a game at Partizan (I think?). It seems fun, but the price has put me off.I wish they would release some unpainted ships at half the price!
I was contemplating getting the em4 ships:

which are 21p each, for some space conflict.

I quite facy getting into a spaceship battle style game but would have to be quite cheap as money is pretty tight at the moment?
Any recommendations?
